Everyone is on the fence about the new Steam VR headset called Frame, but we are excited, not just for the headset, but for the entire suite of hardware from Steam, and how it can all work together to provide an excellent solution for B2B customers. Imagine you need to present your new snazzy product visualisation in the boardroom; you want to impress this potential new distributor. Previous attempts to do something with tech has been a complete disaster. You had a Quest but couldn’t get it to connect via Link. You ended up with cables all over the place, and one of your guests hated VR because it made them sick. This time, you are well prepared. You have the Steam machine sat in the corner (hardly noticeable). The VR headset is connected and your incredible product experience is streaming nicely. One of your customers is using the VR, but the lady who hates VR has the Steam Deck (a handheld pc) and is able to join her colleague in the experience. She can walk around, interact in the space and see exactly what her colleague is looking at. The entire experience is slick, comfortable and as easy as viewing a presentation on the big screen. Most importantly, however, it is memorable and fun. Your customers leave the meeting happy, excited, and thinking about the experience. We are optimistic about using Steam hardware for future Enterprise VR experiences, and with a Steam Deck as the killer companion device, It’s a win, win! For us, a lot of the issues customers have with PC VR in the enterprise space have been based around the hardware, and in particular, the onboarding, setup, the overall User Experience. Getting people in the headset comfortably and without issues. There is an anxiety about PC VR before you even run the software. Alleviating the stress and barriers to entry is an imperative. This could be a great solution. What do you think? Can you see this combination being a great way to present PC VR? Get in touch to discuss: hello@wealdcreative.com https://lnkd.in/eT-dkTaB

Interesting new plugin for Reallusion iClone. This software lets you build an AI Assistant that you can host and own 100%. You can use a Character Creator model, teach it how to react to your emotions as you speak, and it has intelligent lip-sync and expressions in real-time as it responds to questions. Very impressive. This could be integrated into a game or any other software you want to build. Kiosk tech, training, customer support ... anything you can imagine. https://lnkd.in/ebBQ6vTU https://lnkd.in/eZneCcvx Want to discuss how you might use this for your business? 💀 Is the internet "dead," filled more with bots than humans? 🤖 The "Dead Internet Theory" suggests our online world is increasingly dominated by AI. But what if we could build a new Human Web, a decentralized World Wide Web where human interaction is guaranteed and data ownership truly belongs to individuals? Could we build this? 👫 Peer-to-Peer infrastructure instead of centralized servers. 💾 Decentralized data storage to reclaim ownership. 😎 A robust Proof-of-Humanity (PoH) layer to distinguish us from AI. 🏛️ DAO governance & tokenomics for a truly community-owned digital space. Let me know your thoughts. Is this nuts? https://lnkd.in/ewC8DCm4 #HumanWeb #Decentralization #AI #ProofOfHumanity #FutureOfTech #web #internet #networking #peertopeer #blockchain

Last year Weald Creative teamed up with 099 creative, The Space and the Uk Antarctic Heritage Trust to create a unique, interactive microsite celebrating 100 years of Antarctic Heritage work. We utilized Snap Camera to bring Snap Inc. lenses to the browser and in TikTok filters. View the microsite and try out the lenses yourself. Post the results in the comments. https://lnkd.in/eh-_mgP8 #augmentedReality #immersive #microsite #webdesign #webdevelopment #snapchat #snaplenses #snapcamera #creativetechnology

As of 2023, over 6 million adults in the UK still smoke tobacco! Smoking tobacco is one of the biggest preventable causes of ill health and disability in the UK, killing over 70,000 people, and costing the NHS around 2.6 billion pounds each year. Finding motivation to quit smoking can be difficult. Clear Roads Ahead is a unique and immersive virtual reality experience aimed at encouraging adults who smoke to quit. With the help of a guide called Hope, the smoker decides whether they want to quit or not. Their decision takes them on a journey along a pathway that advises them on the benefits and drawbacks of quitting or not quitting. The Virtual Reality experience is designed to be as simple as possible to use. No controllers are required, as a simple hand gesture will get you from point A to B. Technical production has been led by Weald Creative as part of a university collaboration with UCL. This project is undergoing preliminary testing to get feedback from users Thank you tosan okpako from UCL for the fantastic brief and support throughout the project.
