Hot off the press...OBUSPA integrated with prpl and RDK 📢 There has been a revolutionary shift in how quickly broadband service providers using prpl Foundation and RDK platforms can deploy new services, from months and years to a matter of weeks. Two of the most widely used carrier-grade open source platforms for home broadband management, prpl Foundation’s prplWare and RDK’s RDK-B software, have integrated the Broadband Forum's Open Broadband USP Agent (OBUSPA) project’s releases with their middleware stacks. “One of the biggest hurdles for service providers in both differentiating their offerings and maintaining end user satisfaction has been the slow, complex process of delivering new applications and services to customer devices,” said John Blackford, Connected User Work Area Co-Director and Chairman of the Board at Broadband Forum. “This adoption highlights the momentum of open source in CPE and the adoption of Broadband Forum’s USP as the foundation to building an improved user experience.” Read the full news announcement here: https://lnkd.in/esja-Zbf

As RDK continues to evolve as a fully open and collaborative community, this annual Summit brings together industry leaders, innovators, and contributors to share insights, showcase progress, and shape the future of the RDK ecosystem.     We are now accepting recommendations and proposals for speakers and topics that will deliver meaningful value to our global community. Key areas of focus for the 2026 Summit include:     🔹 Core RDK - Importance of a consistent baseline for faster innovation and easier integration  🔹 App Standardization - One approach for apps across all RDK devices  🔹 RDK Ready Certification - Simplifying both SoC integration and OEM certification to speed up deployments  🔹 Edge AI & Smart Operations - Smarter broadband and personalized video experiences  🔹Lifecycle Governance - Best practices for managing multi-vendor RDK fleets, ensuring security compliance, and automating validation from silicon to cloud      We are now accepting proposals for speakers and topics that will deliver meaningful value to our global community.
