Arm’s Kieran Hejmadi has published a new PyTorch blog introducing a hands-on tutorial series on advanced hardware–software co-design techniques. These approaches help developers train models tailored for resource-constrained edge devices. When deployed on Arm, they gain automatic acceleration through KleidiAI with runtimes like ExecuTorch. What’s inside: • Co-design methods that balance accuracy and model size • Quantization-aware training and extreme quantization • Mixture-of-Experts techniques that cut latency while preserving reasoning 👉 Blog: https://lnkd.in/gdHNQecz Co-produced with Arm Education, Oliver Grainge (University of Southampton), and Prof. Constantine Caramanis (UT Austin). #PyTorch #OpenSourceAI #ExecuTorch #Arm #Quantization #HardwareSoftwareCodesign

PyTorch reposted this
🚀 NeurIPS 2025 was an incredible week for the PyTorch community, and I couldn’t be prouder of the role we played as a Diamond sponsor. I had the privilege of seeing firsthand how deeply PyTorch is shaping the future of open, community-driven AI. Throughout NeurIPS 2025, we weren’t just present, we were actively leading across research, engineering, and ecosystem collaboration. Across the week, the PyTorch Foundation supported and participated in workshops, talks, posters, and hands-on community programming, alongside a high-traffic booth. 🔹 Technical leadership at scale One of the highlights was the Agentic AI & Reinforcement Learning workshop, which was packed with nearly 2,000 attendees, a powerful signal of where the community is heading. It had standout sessions led by speakers, Joseph Spisak, Davide Testuggine, Aksel Joonas Reedi, Zach Wentz, Daniel Han, Sanyam Bhutani, and Aakanksha Chowdhery, Ph.D. The On-Device and Edge AI workshop featured talks by Cagatay Bilgin, Matthias Lecher, Andrey Tovchigrechko, Varun Khare, Vijay Janapa Reddi, Karan Goel, and Mitesh Patel, Ph.D. We had a talk on Composable Intelligence: Modular Agents and Open Protocols, where Mahdi G. and I discussed why modular agent architectures and open standards are critical to building reliable, performant and auditable agentic AI systems. 🔹 Research & Posters PyTorch contributors also presented research across multiple workshops, including: Evaluation and Benchmarking Suite for Financial LLMs and Agents (Shengyuan Lin, Jaisal Patel, Qinchuan Zhang, Kaiwen He, Keyi WANG, Yan Wang, Kairong Xiao, Xiao-Yang Liu, and myself) The Model Openness Framework (Cailean Osborne, Xiao-Yang Liu, Keyi WANG, Sachin Mathew Varghese, and myself) 🔹 Exhibit Hall momentum Our PyTorch + CNCF booth saw constant foot traffic all week, with researchers, students, and industry engineers asking about: Practical PyTorch deployment and performance Ecosystem projects like vLLM, DeepSpeed.ai, and Ray Real-world applications across robotics, finance, and edge AI Huge thanks to the PyTorch maintainers and contributors from NVIDIA and Meta who spent time in the booth connecting directly with the community. 🔹 Community Connection We hosted the Open Source AI Reception, co-hosted by the PyTorch Foundation and Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), with Anyscale, Featherless AI, Hugging Face, and Unsloth AI. With 600+ attendees, it was one of the most energetic gatherings of the conference. I was also proud that the PyTorch Foundation supported the launch of Open Frontier, an initiative focused on advancing open collaboration at the frontier of AI systems and infrastructure. Thank you to everyone who joined our sessions, stopped by the booth, shared feedback, and continues to build with us. The future of AI is open, and this community is leading the way. #PyTorch #NeurIPS2025 #OpenSourceAI #AgenticAI #EdgeAI #MLCommunity
