SQL Saturday San Diego was an absolute blast! We can't wait for next year!! 🎉📚
Thank You for Making SQL Saturday San Diego 2025 a huge Success!! SQL Saturday San Diego 2025 event went off without a hitch - and more than that, it was a resounding success. Events like these don’t just happen. They are built on the dedication of volunteers, the generosity of sponsors, the expertise of speakers, and the belief that a strong data community is worth investing in. From the bottom of our hearts, Eric and I want to extend our deepest thanks to everyone who made this event possible. Whether it was your time, your knowledge, your financial support, or simply showed up to learn and grow- you were part of something special. To our sponsors: Microsoft/AMD, Databricks, COZYROC, USD, Tessell, O’Reilly, SQLskills, UCSD, and Subway #51734 — thank you for believing in our vision and investing in this community. Your generous support brought this event to life. Our 2025 speakers- thank you for teaching, inspiring, and empowering our audience. Your impact will last well beyond your sessions. You’ve given our attendees tools, insight, and motivation to carry forward in their careers and contributions to the tech world: Andrew Madson, Dustin Vannoy, Ginger Grant, Iurii (Yuri) Iurchenko, Armando Lacerda, Thomas A.J. Hull, Zdravko Danev, Scott Reed, Ch. Ahmad Ali, Arun Reddy, Camilo Leon, Ike Ellis, Alvaro Costa-Neto, Scott Grzybowski, Alireza Mostafizi, and Warren Sifre. To our volunteers: Mahendra R, Adam Belkada, Casper Hsu, Grace Lopez, Miguel Ramirez, Tulay Muezzinoglu, Rick Davis, Eleana Bakman, and Hanns Hernandez- your behind-the-scenes efforts made this day run seamlessly. Your energy and dedication were the backbone of this event. To our attendees- thank you for showing up with curiosity and enthusiasm. Your presence made all the difference. We hope you’ll take what you learned, apply it, grow with it, and share it in your own circles. You are the reason this community thrives. A close friend once told me: “If you have a venue, sponsors, volunteers, and a date… you WILL have an event.” That simple truth, combined with unwavering support, is what brought SQL Saturday San Diego back stronger than ever. What began for me as a volunteer role in 2017 — when Eric was attending sessions — grew into the honor of carrying on the legacy of the late Phil Robinson for SQL SAT SD. I’m humbled to continue building this event in my home town, for our beautiful San Diego data community. To our extended SQL Saturday California family: Steve Rezhener, and Elaena Bakman (SQL SAT LA), Armando Lacerda (SQL SAT SV), and Maria (Mima) Lopez (SQL SAT OC) — your encouragement and guidance brought back the spirit and strength of this event after the challenges of COVID. You are true examples of leading with heart. Here’s to the continued growth of our SQL Saturday family, and to an even bigger, better SQL Saturday San Diego in 2026. With sincerest gratitude, Rebecca Renko Dycus & Eric Dycus Organizers, SQL Saturday San Diego
