  • You show up for us. Now we’re asking for your help to keep delivering what you love. 💖 SiouxperCon isn’t just a convention- it’s one of South Dakota’s most impactful community events. Every year, more than 10,000 fans come together to celebrate creativity, fandom, STEM education, literacy, and the arts. In a single weekend, SiouxperCon generates over $1.75 million in economic impact for Sioux Falls. No other nonprofit or pop culture event in our region matches this level of community return. What makes this even more remarkable is that SiouxperCon is 100% volunteer run. We have no paid staff. Every dollar from vendor booths, sponsorships, and ticket sales goes directly into programming, guests, and community impact. As the event has grown, so have the costs required to run it. It now takes more than $200,000 each year to bring SiouxperCon to life- covering venue rental, insurance, guest travel, and the programs that make this event so special. We’ve cut expenses everywhere possible, but like many nonprofits, we’re feeling the strain of rising costs, along with reductions in grant funding. To keep SiouxperCon affordable, inclusive, and sustainable, we’re asking our community to rally with us and help us raise $25,000. Your support helps us: • Bring in high‑caliber guests and creators • Invest in the spaces you love—cosplay, tabletop gaming, and video game rooms • Maintain all‑ages educational programming in our Kid Zone • Provide a free children’s book to every child on Family Day • Support partners like Make‑A‑Wish, REACH Literacy, and the JY6 Foundation • Keep ticket prices accessible and entry for ages 12 and under FREE SiouxperCon exists because this community believes in it. What started in a hotel basement is now the largest fully nonprofit event of its kind in the region. With your help, we can continue offering a safe, joyful, inspiring weekend for fans of all ages-this year and for years to come. If every fan donated just $5 today, we could raise $50,000 (double our goal of $25,000 to keep programming affordable) Thank you for being part of the SiouxperCon family. Let’s keep building something amazing together! ➡️ https://lnkd.in/davQMNCT

  • This holiday season there are many calls to action urging you to shop local. It’s important to listen to these calls of action as shopping small and supporting local directly impacts our community. As a nonprofit we’ve directly felt the impacts of multiple small businesses closing, grants being cut, and costs rising. As an entirely volunteer-led organization, we donate 100% of our proceeds from SiouxperCon every year to our partner charities- meaning we have to start from scratch every year to bring the con we all know and love back annually. From venue rental to guests, this is truly no small feat. With many businesses struggling to keep the doors open as their own costs continue to rise, we too are starting to face struggles with finding adequate monetary sponsors for our 2026 event. This holiday season, as you’re looking for that perfect gift, we hope you’ll consider purchasing SiouxperCon tickets - or even giving a donation in a loved one’s name - as part of your giving this year. If you’re a business owner, and are able to, we hope you’ll partner with us. Even if you aren’t in a place to give financially - a share goes a long way. Every little bit truly helps when it comes to supporting our nonprofit. Happy holidays, Siouxper fans! Tickets ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gY9Yws4k Donate ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gCXhHWQK

  • Happy #InternationalVolunteerDay We may have 40 year-round volunteer staff and board members that help shape and plan our annual con, but SiouxperCon wouldn't be the success it is without over 100+ convention volunteers that step up to welcome fans from all over the nation through the doors! We see you and we appreciate you - which is why when you volunteer at least (1) 5-hour shift for SiouxperCon, you earn a 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊𝐄𝐍𝐃 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒! Interested in helping make our 2026 event Siouxper? Apply to be a volunteer today ➡️ https://lnkd.in/g-ynYGyk

  • We can't let President Nelson down this SD Day of Giving - help us hit our goal of raising $1,000 today! Your support of SiouxperCon also helps others. We donate ALL proceeds from our event each year to our partner charities of Make-A-Wish, Reach Literacy, and JY6 (as much as we would love to fund some dance classes for Staff Director Brian - we don't pay any of our volunteer staff) Donate here ➡️https://lnkd.in/geKjyy88 $5, $10, or $20 - it all makes a difference! #ForSouthDakotaProgress #InTheArmsOfAFandom South Dakota Gives
