Our final round of breakout sessions have just concluded to close the formal portion of #CISOForum2026! - In our final group panel of the day, "Supply Chain Extinction: Focus on existential third-party risk," Amy Feldman (Black) of RSM US LLP, Gaétan Houle of Fortinet, Kopiha Nathan of Healthcare Insurance Reciprocal of Canada (HIROC) and Nabil Zia. Mian of Roots examined the cascading risks from simultaneous third-party breaches, focusing on board oversight, supply chain resilience, contractual liability, and contingency planning. - In "AI Fighting AI: Defending in a world of autonomous adversaries," hosts Michael F. and Mohammad Waqas of Armis discussed how autonomous attacker AI is evolving and what CISOs can do to counter it. - Roland Kahl of OpenText talked about optimizing and securing AI data pipelines and mastering the data discovery lifecycle. - In "Gen AI hijacking is the new ransomware," Matthew Balcer of SentinelOne explored how Gen AI hijacking is emerging as the next evolutionary step in cybercrime. Matthew examined real-world attack patterns including prompt injection, model poisoning, data leakage via inference, and AI-driven social engineering — demonstrating how these techniques can cause operational paralysis and financial impact comparable to, or greater than, traditional ransomware campaigns.
