11 RCM and HIM executives recently got honest about using AI for mid-revenue cycle processes. Here's what they had to say 👇 💡 Change management is harder than the technology (every leader mentioned this). Getting coders to trust tools, not just use them, means having real conversations about fear, about quality, about what their job looks like on the other side. 💡 AI surfaces more documentation opportunities than CDI teams have bandwidth to handle. That's a good problem, but it's one you have to staff and plan for before go-live, not after. 💡 The organizations seeing the most value weren't the ones with the smoothest launches. They were the ones who kept adjusting their workflows, denial tracking, and coder feedback loops long after implementation. The high-level takeaway? ROI showed up within 30 days for most of the panelists, BUT - getting there took more people-work than anyone anticipated. How do you cut through vendor marketing when it feels like every accuracy claim is high and all the value props sound the same? 🤔 In her latest article for Libman Education, Kacie Geretz RHIA, CPMA, CPC, CCA shares the 10 questions revenue cycle and HIM leaders should be asking autonomous coding vendors, from how accuracy is actually measured to what tends to go wrong during implementation. If your organization is in evaluation mode (or getting close), this one's worth a read. 👇 Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/e-xg5kS2 #AutonomousMedicalCoding #MedicalCodingSimplified

When was the last time you reviewed every active vendor contract and tied it directly to measurable impact? Simplification may be the most strategic move you make this year.

As healthcare grows more complex, accuracy and efficiency matter more than ever. And health information professionals are leading the way. In this short-form documentary, we meet Deb Whitley and the team at Nym, who are transforming medical coding through autonomous technology, while keeping human expertise firmly at the centre of the process. Most importantly, this story reinforces a critical truth: AI doesn’t replace health information professionals; it elevates them. By partnering with technology, coders can focus on higher-value work, safeguard data integrity, and help shape the responsible application of innovation across healthcare. This film is part of Health Information: Making Every Patient’s Story Matter — a digital series by AHIMA in partnership with Content With Purpose that spotlight leaders redefining the future of health information. 🎥 Watch the film and explore the full series: https://lnkd.in/gEtF2dkW Follow us for more stories from the people driving innovation, integrity, and leadership in healthcare. #HealthInformation #HealthInformationProfessionals #HealthInformationManagement #HIM #AIinHealthcare #HealthData #HealthcareInnovation #DigitalHealth #FutureOfHealthcare #HealthcareLeadership
