We can change the world when we change our approach to technology.
About us
We're a community of nonprofit professionals who recognize that technology is integral to our work and lives. We've seen firsthand in our communities that access to technology and using it effectively is a consistent barrier across all forms of inequity. Together we can dismantle existing systems of oppression and create new ways for our organizations to approach technology strategically and deploy it in racially equitable ways.

We’re excited to announce the keynote speakers for the 2026 Nonprofit Technology Conference — leaders whose work reflects what this moment calls for: community-led technology, ethical practice, and collective action. #26NTC 🎤 Anil Dash Technologist, writer, and advocate for ethical and inclusive tech. A Webby Lifetime Achievement honoree, former CEO and founder of Glitch, whose venerable personal blog has been cited over the last 25 years by everyone from sitting U.S. Senators to hundreds of academic papers to TMZ. 🎤 Sylvester Johnson & Kelle DeBoth Foust Sylvester Johnson is Co-founder and CEO of the Corporation for Public Interest Technology, advancing human-centered and ethical approaches to technology. Kelle Foust, PhD, OTR/L is a researcher and occupational therapist whose work centers accessibility, disability justice, and community-engaged technology in healthcare and education. Together, they bring grounded perspectives on what public interest technology looks like in practice. 🎤 Sasha Costanza-Chock Author of Design Justice and a leading voice in community-led design and social movements. Sasha’s work focuses on building shared power, supporting collective care, and imagining more democratic and just technological futures. These principles carry through the conference beyond the keynotes, especially in partner-led spaces designed for collaboration, like The Collective Action Room, hosted by Nonprofit Quarterly – a space to gather around shared issues, organize ideas, and begin shaping collective projects, campaigns, or long-term collaborations — whether you arrive with a group or find collaborators onsite. If you haven’t registered yet, we’d love to have you join us at 26NTC and be part of these conversations! Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eF9F-CKf

We know this is a tough moment for many nonprofits. Budgets are tight, funding is uncertain, and teams are carrying a lot. That’s why we’re extending regular pricing for the 2026 Nonprofit Technology Conference. We want to make sure more of our nonprofit peers still have access to space for learning, connection, and collective problem-solving—without cost being the thing that stops you. NTC is about coming together honestly, sharing what’s working (and what isn’t), and building collective strength. If you’ve been hoping to join us in Detroit or virtually, there’s still time. We hope to see you at #26NTC 💛 👉 nten.org/ntc

NTEN is among the 40+ signatories to this letter, along with Fight for the Future, Access Now, and the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project, calling on our Members of Congress to vote NO on funding for ICE's multi-billion-dollar surveillance technology. A major part of the $170 billion in funding that ICE has received from the Trump administration is being leveraged to supercharge ICE violence and intimidation using surveillance tech – including building databases of sensitive personal data of all US residents, using facial recognition techology, license plate readers, and Ring cameras for surveillance, and purchasing technology to surveil all the phones in a given neighborhood without a warrant, including past and present location data. Lawmakers need to block funding for the Department of Homeland Security and with it, funding of surveillance tech and other tools ICE is deploying against people in the US to deprive them of their privacy and liberty. https://lnkd.in/eBQy2rPS
