Empowering Chinese Communities Through Mental Health Awareness and Support. One in four U.S. adults faces mental disorders. In the Asian American community, stigma and language barriers make finding help challenging. Established in 2012 in California, the Mental Health Association for Chinese Communities (MHACC) strives to enhance mental health services for the Chinese community, breaking down these barriers. Our Services: Warmline: A judgment-free zone for sharing fears and doubts. Support Groups: Healing through community support. Classes: Spreading knowledge and understanding through educational sessions. Mobile Apps: Providing continuous, intelligent support. Outreach: Engaging with the community through active programs. All our services are free and bilingual! Join us and be a part of our journey towards a community where mental wellness is embraced by all.

🌟Celebrating Lunar New Year 🧧 with MHACC! I was truly honored to join the 14th Annual Celebration of the Mental Health Association for Chinese Communities (MHACC) with their “Red Horse 🐴 Lunar New Year” 🎉 celebration! Mental health is often overlooked in our communities, especially among Asian cultures. As a Mayor, I prioritized our health and human services resources to have a wellness focus, particularly through partnerships with local nonprofits. Breaking the stigma surrounding mental health is crucial, as everyone deserves a safe space to express themselves and seek support. Thank you, MHACC, for your unwavering commitment to raising awareness and fostering a nurturing community. Together, let’s continue to build compassion and understanding, ensuring that mental well-being is prioritized for all.

Happy Lunar New Year! Yesterday, I received a personal invitation from my client, Carole Wang, co-founder of the Mental Health Association for Chinese Communities (MHACC), to attend their 14th Annual Lunar New Year Party. The Mental Health Association for Chinese Communities is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting mental health awareness within the Chinese community through advocacy, education, research, support, and services. During the event, I had the opportunity to meet Raj Salwan, the current Mayor of Fremont, California! Special thanks to the staff, volunteers, and of course, Carole!
