As Adolescence swept the Golden Globes and awards season kicks off, it’s worth revisiting the latest ambitious project from director Philip Barantini 🏆 ONE SHOT with Ed Sheeran is a groundbreaking one-hour continuous-shot special, with Mocolab and their Cinebot Max playing a key role in one of the most technically demanding sequences, staged atop a double-decker bus. The camera had to be passed seamlessly to the robot on the bus, continue the shot, and then be handed off again, all without breaking the immersion or interrupting the sequence. An iPhone 15 Pro paired with the Bolt and Milo rigs captured a mix of fast, punchy moves and repeat-pass shots, creating multiple clones of Olivia Rodrigo all in-camera. The Bolt handled the speedy, dynamic moves while the Milo took care of the slower, steadier shots out in the field. The final result is so solid you’d swear it was shot on a full cinema setup.
