  • Mexico’s dining scene continues to set the bar. We had the honor of taking part in Culinaria Mexicana, the prestigious event behind the Guía México Gastronómico, better known as Los 250 Restaurantes. Each year, the guide spotlights the 250 restaurants shaping Mexico’s diverse culinary landscape. The 2026 celebration was a powerful reminder of the creativity, craft, and ambition driving dining across the country. With a commemorative OpenTable-branded plate, we recognized the extraordinary community’s commitment to delivering standout hospitality and unforgettable experiences. It was also our privilege to present the award for Best Opening of the Year to La Cocina del Bizco by chef Jesús Pedraza—a Spanish concept bringing bold flavor and energy to the heart of Condesa in Mexico City. Congratulations to all of the restaurants featured in this year’s guide. Make sure to check it out before your next trip! #OpenTable #CulinariaMexicana #GuíaMéxicoGastronómico #Hospitality #RestaurantIndustry

  • What better way to start a year of excellent dining than by honoring the impressive standouts from the last? Last month, we partnered with Square to take over Anajak Thai and co-host an intimate seated dinner, raising a toast to the 2025 LA Times Best 101 Restaurants.   We packed the house with some of the city’s top chefs and restaurateurs from the list, alongside esteemed members of the Los Angeles Times editorial team— Bill Addison, Jenn Harris, and Laurie Ochoa—for conversation, connection, and celebration. Thank you to the 70+ leaders from LA’s most respected restaurants, and to the key industry and PR partners who do so much to shape and showcase the city’s brightest talent. As diners first and foremost, we are deeply grateful for your contributions to our community. View the full list here: https://lnkd.in/g4GCCPzq  Additional thanks to the teams at Square, LA Times and OpenTable— Ramsey Aweti, Eric Ma, Lizzy Eisenberg and Amy Wei—for your continued partnership and support, and to Pete Lee for capturing the evening so beautifully.

Restaurants are the true holiday-season heroes, so we knew we had to give some love to the people making it all happen. Our first Winter Social cocktail party in Mexico City was full of meaningful conversations, great music, delicious food and drinks, and a warm atmosphere that reminded us why this industry is all about people. We’re so grateful we get to work with such an inspiring community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the night unforgettable. Looking forward to everything we’ll create together in the year ahead!

Our 2026 Dining Trends Report revealed 44% of Americans plan to use AI more to discover restaurants and book reservations in 2026. We’re uniquely positioned to meet this demand, with integrations with LLMs, 10 voice AI partners to-date, AI-powered proprietary tools and more. As for the latest: the OpenTable app in ChatGPT is now live! ChatGPT users will be able to chat with OpenTable directly within ChatGPT to discover restaurants and view availability. To get started, connect the OpenTable app in ChatGPT via: https://lnkd.in/ekhkubzk You can ask things like “OpenTable find San Francisco restaurants that are good for groups,” and ChatGPT will automatically surface the app in your chat.. This is one more way we’re meeting diners where they are and creating new ways to discover and book reservations, and for restaurants, helping them fill seats and drive revenue.

Fogo de Chão looked at their data, realised they were missing 25 percent of guest calls, and said: “That’s insane. Fix it.” Most restauranteurs still think missed phone reservations is just part of the game. Fogo are different. And, they're reaping the rewards. PolyAI partnered with Fogo de Chão to implement a digital concierge that actually behaves like a member of the team. Her name? Selma. She answers every single call. Every hour. Every location. She books reservations in OpenTable. Expands their loyalty programme. Manages FAQs. She covers after hours. Peak hours. Holiday insanity hours. And she never pulls a host off the floor. The impact wasn’t incremental. -> 100 percent of guest calls answered for the first time in company history. -> A seven figure (watch the video) uplift in revenue -> 23,000 hours saved from their team -> A 95 percent guest satisfaction score For Fogo, Hospitality isn’t a tagline. It’s their business. PolyAI didn’t replace that. It enhanced it. And the best endorsement didn’t come from a spreadsheet (as enticing as that is). It came from Fogo’s own team: “Selma is the best hire we’ve ever made.” This is how I know we're not just automating calls. We're changing the way restaurants operate. Fogo is now expanding Selma across SMS, chat, and going multilingual so guests can get help anywhere, any time, without friction. This is where the industry is heading. If you’re still missing calls, still juggling phones, still leaking revenue… watch this case study.
