Is the state of the grant funding system making you want to cry?
Do you dream about setting up your own funder to fund the things not-for-profit orgs actually need?
Me too. If you want to indulge in a little rage giving, or come and play at being funders with me, The Boring Fund is accepting donations. (You don't have to be rolling in it to donate!)
We only fund the boring but essential things like insurance, web hosting, admin time: the stuff that’s always so hard to get money for. It’s partly a funding experiment, partly making a point about the state of the stupid funding system.
Small, grassroots organisations shouldn’t have to jump through endless hoops to get support. The Boring Fund is currently little grants of £200 but it's to small organisations doing incredible things and the application will take about 5 mins of their time so we're not taking the piss.
You can come and join the party here: https://lnkd.in/ej6h-F75 (the 'about' section explains the story behind it)
Thank you to the glorious Creative Sustainability CIC for being our fiscal host and supporting all the admin so the cash can go straight to the organisations. If you're looking for a way of managing grant giving they're brilliant- give them a shout.
Sharing this with colleagues, reposts, telling mega rich people about it all very welcome! x
