Ontop 5.5.0 is out ! Please join us in celebrating this new release of the leading open source virtual knowledge graph engine. It’s a well-known fact that Ontop constantly follows new trends in data management. Supporting file names as table names greatly helps when working with Databricks, Apache Spark, and DuckDB. Working with time intervals can be challenging. Thanks to the CRIMA project, it was possible to implement time intervals and adapt several data source connectors to this new functionality. Lastly, to ensure  the software remains maintainable and well-performing in the future, several internal parts were reworked. TDengine, the underlying technology, can handle huge amounts of sensor data without choking. Congratulations to our coworker Manuela Corte Pause on obtaining her Master's degree in Computer Science! She successfully defended her thesis on an improved #Ontop materialization algorithm, which leads to faster materialization of data from relational databases to RDF triples with lower resource consumption. This implementation will soon be merged into the main Ontop branch, so that the larger Ontop community can take advantage of this substantial improvement. Manuela, we are thrilled to have you on our team!
