We love helping spatial teams reach their full potential. Leaf Agriculture needed to visualize large agricultural datasets for development and customer support, but desktop GIS tools weren't cutting it. Performance issues meant crashes on datasets over 1GB—a non-starter for analyzing a million acres at once. Data prep required extensive scripting just to import CSVs with embedded coordinates. And collaboration meant screen-sharing calls or static screenshots with no way for stakeholders to explore data independently. With Felt, all of that changed. Read more at our blog.

Big news: Wherobots and Felt are now integrated — and if you work with spatial data, you're going to want to check it out. The idea: Wherobots handles distributed spatial SQL and inference at scale (vector, raster, structured), and Felt gives you a collaborative, browser-based mapping interface to explore the results. Together, it's a AI-enhanced SQL-to-map workflow that cuts out the desktop GIS bottleneck. What makes it developer-friendly: → Felt has a Python SDK and REST API, so you can automate map creation and embed visualizations directly in your apps → Wherobots runs on your data lake — no copying data into proprietary GIS tools → Serverless, pay-as-you-go, built on open standards Leaf Agriculture is already using this in production to process millions of acres of tractor telemetry and imagery at 5–20x the speed of traditional solutions, then surface it all through Felt for real-time collaboration. If you've been duct-taping together spatial pipelines with bespoke tooling, this is the kind of modern stack worth exploring.

How do you analyze agricultural data across millions of acres without your GIS crashing? Leaf Agriculture faced this exact challenge. Their team was stuck with desktop GIS tools that couldn't handle datasets over 1GB, required extensive scripting for simple imports, and forced collaboration through screen-sharing calls. Then they tried Felt. The results: ✅ Analysis time cut from hours to minutes ✅ Avoided hiring a specialized web-GIS engineer ✅ Engineering team refocused on core API development instead of visualization work The game-changer: Felt AI now lets their PMs prototype customer-facing analytics widgets without engineering support. No coding required. Sometimes the right tool isn't just faster—it completely transforms how your team works.

Maps are essential to making efficient decisions in agriculture, but the computational challenges and end user access have been massively complex and costly – until now. Join us Tuesday to hear just how easy it is to make spatial data simple to access and use, with Wherobots & Felt. https://lnkd.in/g5eTCGDV
Join AWS hosts Michael Schmidt, Global Director of Industry Partnerships, and Patti Carroll, WW Agriculture GTM Lead, for an insightful AWS for Industries LIVE! episode. This episode explores how geospatial AI and cloud solutions are transforming agribusinesses. Matt Forrest, Director of PLG & Customer Engineering at Wherobots, offers insights into the computational challenges agribusinesses face as the volume of geospatial data grows exponentially, and how they are achieving up to 20x faster and more efficient performance for processing massive datasets in cloud-native workflows. And Jaime Sanchez, Director of Partnerships at Felt, demonstrates how their geospatial AI platform helps agriculture teams analyze massive location datasets in minutes instead of weeks - no GIS Degree required. Industries LIVE! streams every other Tuesday. Register using this link to receive calendar reminders about upcoming episodes: https://lnkd.in/e_xYzTuV

High-performance tiling or editable data – for years, GIS teams have been forced to choose one, but never both. We just broke that tradeoff. ✨ At scale, GIS systems have historically forced a compromise: • Pre-generate vector tiles for performance — immutable by design; or • Fully editable data — but backed by slow, request-heavy rendering pipelines ❌ Not anymore. Today, we’re introducing ⚡️Lightning⚡️, Felt’s next-generation tiling engine built on Tippecanoe that enables real-time editing across millions of features while preserving the performance characteristics of pre-generated tiles. Lightning is powered by a merge-on-demand architecture that combines Tippecanoe's optimized base tiles with a lightweight edit database and a real-time tiling engine. As pictured, this architecture unlocks capabilities that traditional tile pipelines can’t support: → Sub-second visualization updates after edits → Concurrent, multi-user editing over massive datasets → Live, recomputed statistics as underlying features change Lightning delivers a cloud-native GIS architecture designed for scale: low-latency reads, real-time writes, and fully editable data — without full-scale retiling. 👇 Learn more about how we built it below 👇
