Meet Crop Swap LA, a Los Angeles-based educational and community-support series centered around growing food locally. The increasing demand for their workshops taps into Show Up To Shape It, a trend from our Social Study 2026 report.
Centered around teaching people how to grow and share nutrient-dense food hyper-locally, their Urban Survival series encourages people to learn skills that strengthen their community. It lets people participate and contribute rather than just observe and consume, which is the key to tapping into the Show Up To Shape It trend.
How are you designing events that invite people to contribute to community?
Connecting and contributing is *huge* right now: clothing swaps, art builds, urban gardening, and plenty of other things done in community.

Hanging out can be more rewarding when meeting new people isn’t the main focus but a bonus.

Place matters more than ever. In 2026, 44% of event goers are more likely to spend money for unique venues and 42% want to support local businesses.
That can be a win-win when it comes to deciding where to host your event.

There's a lot we can learn from Silent Discos in Incredible Places, a global event series that’s caught on by giving people control over how they engage on the dance floor. Their growing popularity taps into Soft Socializing, a trend from our Social Study 2026 report.
Hosted in iconic spaces, from historic cathedrals to the British Museum, each silent disco is designed for flexibility. Multiple music channels, room to move, and no single focal point mean attendees can dance, observe, chat, or simply take it all in. Connection happens naturally because guests aren’t pressured to socialize or forced to interact.
How are you designing events that let people socialize on their own terms?

Leading with one identity doesn’t help people find their scene. It’s the mix of passions and perspectives, a little bit of this and a little bit of that, that makes everything more fun.
LAYERS, NOT LABELS is one of the top 5 IRL culture trends we’re predicting for 2026. Get ready to mash it all up and explore the full SOCIAL STUDY 2026 report at the link in comments.
In the current economy, event goers are looking for good value. Sometimes, that means low cost: 68% won’t spend more than $30 on a budget-friendly event. Other times, it means intentional pricing: 48% prefer bundled pricing over itemized costs.
Our Social Study 2026 report has plenty of tips to help you price appropriately, and other ways to help you grow this year.

Meet BURNT ORANGE HONEY, a phone-free, pop-up dinner series in New York City. They’re the perfect example of what we’re calling Off-Script Energy, an event-culture trend in our Social Study 2026 IRL Trend report.
“[Growing up,] the dinner table was a place for me to connect with my people,” says organizer Adam Gray. Working with some of the city’s finest chefs, Gray makes surprise and presence central ingredients in every meal: Attendees only find out the location of the dinner one day prior and—more often than not—the venue is super unique (think warehouses, churches, and the like).
Expectations are out, unexpected is in. Hit the link in comments to dive into this trend and more in Social Study 2026.
Twenty years?! 🎈 Sending love from SF, where this wild ride began.
Looking back, it’s wild to think I was just 25 when we started this. At the time, my co-founder Kevin was my fiancé...the ultimate "stress test" for a relationship! Along with our co-founder Renaud Visage, we set out to make it possible for anyone, anywhere to host a live experience.
To celebrate, we brought the whole family back together—our incredible Briteling’s! It was a long road back together but between the talent and the energy in the room, it was made clear: once a Briteling, always a Briteling. 🧡
I am so proud to say that two decades later, our mission is more relevant than ever. Our new Social Study report shows we’re in a 'Reset to Real’ moment that matters. People are craving unrepeatable, off-script moments you can't find on a feed. The world is demanding to be present in ways that are authentic and raw.
And while I have you, I offer some humble bragging like a proud parent about our community. Just last year, creators in 180 countries hosted 4.7M events and sold over 83M paid tickets. That is a lot of connection made IRL and opportunities for indelible memory-making.
Because of creators, Eventbrite was honored with a Fast Company Brands That Matter award again. Here’s to 20 years of making memories🥂✨
