Nothing can stop the content whose time has come. On Saturday, November 29, we recorded an interview for the satellite TV channel eQtv with Oleksandr Melnykov, founder of the internet provider Quadro.Net from frontline Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Final Call for Breakout Fund Applications! eQualitie is closing the second round of the Breakout Funding Program, a €65,000 grant initiative supporting technologies that keep digital communications resilient to network censorship, shutdowns, and natural disasters. The Breakout Program focuses on improving communication within and across isolated digital networks through: • Autonomous networking: P2P systems, mesh networks, and distributed architectures that operate without centralized infrastructure. • Secure and anonymous communication: encryption protocols, hashing methods, and privacy-preserving technologies. • Censorship circumvention: tools that resist DPI, whitelisting, and other forms of network interference. Proposals are welcome at any stage, from concept and R&D to prototype or production-ready systems. Grants cover 1 to 3 months of development work. Supported outcomes may include firmware and technical specifications, libraries and SDKs, system documentation, APIs, and testable proof-of-concepts. Preference is given to open-source projects with publicly available documentation. We made MLS more decentralized! We are excited to share DMLS – a new approach that brings fork resilience to the MLS protocol, solving a key challenge in distributed systems while maintaining Forward Secrecy. Our solution builds on research by Alwen, Mularczyk, and Tselekounis, using Puncturable Pseudorandom Functions (PPRFs) to allow multiple group states to coexist securely.
