Updates

  • This week ISTE+ASCD announced they have a new name: International Society for Transforming Education. In discussing the change, they cited the inflection point that education is currently at, and the need for the education community to rethink what we are collectively doing to help students succeed and prepare them for the future. This is exactly the conversation we have been having at Edlio, both internally and externally. Back in March, our CEO and Founder Ali Arsan had this to say at our "Innovating K-12 Communications" webinar: "I think innovation is change,” Ali explained. “It's questioning everything we've been doing–processes, how we communicate with the community, how we do school. And I think the hunger for innovation is coming from the fact that we all are aware of what's happening. We are at an inflection point with the advent of artificial intelligence and new ways of doing school, and we're all exploring what that is going to look like." To see the full conversation, you can watch the webinar or read the recap at https://lnkd.in/gey2xipB.

  • In the latest installment of our newsletter we reflect on the end of this school year and share our summer plans, including the new innovations we’ll be talking about at NSPRA in July. We also look ahead to what we can do in the next school year to reach families, connect communities, and uplift students together. #K12Education #EdTech #AIinEducation #NSPRA2026

  • NSPRA 2026 is almost here - we will be on the ground at booth 109! We're particularly excited to hear from our school and district communication and PR leaders working on family engagement, multilingual outreach, and how AI is (or isn't) showing up in school communications. What's on your agenda? What sessions are you most looking forward to? Drop your picks in the comments - we'd love to connect with fellow attendees before we even land. #NSPRA2026 #SchoolPR #K12Communications #DistrictLeadership

  • Meet Edlio Chatbot: smarter answers for every family, anytime, on any device. 🤖 When a parent visits your school website at 10pm looking for info, they shouldn't have to dig through pages of links to find it. The Edlio Chatbot delivers instant, accurate answers by analyzing intent, not just keywords, and automatically responds in the family's language. And for the communicators behind the scenes? Real-time insights into what families are actually asking, so you can close content gaps before they become phone calls. We're always building with one question in mind: does this make life easier for the people communicating with families every day? • Good news! Edlio is heading to the NSPRA National Seminar this July! 🎉 We'll be there to connect with some of the most passionate school communications professionals in the country. If you're attending, we'd love to meet in person, swap ideas, and talk about what's working (and what's not) in K-12 communications today. RSVP TO OUR EVENT TODAY! We're also hosting a networking social at the Loews New Orleans on Monday, July 20 from 4:30–7:00pm. It is only about a 5 min walk from NSPRA! • Announcing Edlio Agents: agentic workflows built into the Edlio CMS that add AI-powered expertise to help schools manage their website more efficiently, while informing and engaging their community more effectively.  Edlio Agents will be launching through the Edlio platform during the 2026-27 school year, starting this fall with the Design Agent–a visual design system that lets school administrators customize their website design with no coding required.    Edlio will be sharing more info on the Design Agent at NSRPA 2026 in New Orleans, July 19-22. Stop by booth #109 to learn more about Edlio Agents and additional products and features coming in 2026-27. For more information, visit https://lnkd.in/gSUV7TUu.

"Is our communication actually building the kind of partnership that supports student success?" That's the kind of question districts making real progress on family engagement are asking themselves. Our CEO Founder Ali Arsan explored this question and more in a new piece over on District Administration. Ali writes about the hidden costs of fragmented communication systems and why the broadcast model of pushing out information and hoping the right people see it is no longer enough. Districts driving family engagement are going beyond just consolidating tools, they are getting more strategic: connecting data signals early, meeting families where they are (yes, even at 10pm on a Tuesday), and shifting the conversation from outputs to outcomes. As Ali puts it: it's not about how many families you messaged. It's about how many families are genuine partners in their child's education. • School websites used to be digital bulletin boards. Now they're the front door to your community. You school or district website is the first place a family goes when something feels off, when they're enrolling a new student, or when they want to feel connected to their school. Rather than just updating their sites more often, schools and districts need to think differently about WHO those updates are for. At Edlio, we build tools that make it easier for school communicators to reach every family, connect their community and uplift every student. What does "community-first" communication look like at your school? 👇 #K12Education #SchoolCommunications #EdTech #FamilyEngagement
