At this week’s SportsInnovation event hosted by DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga  in Düsseldorf, Germany, EA SPORTS introduced Project Assist — a groundbreaking platform built with TRACAB that expands how fans can experience live football. Project Assist combines officiating grade optical tracking data with the EA SPORTS simulation engine to render match moments inside a fully animated digital environment, giving broadcasters a new way to analyze and present the game beyond traditional replays. In a live demo, John Shepherd, VP and GM of EA SPORTS FC, showcased how broadcasters can: ⚽ Shift perspective in real time — show a goal from the striker’s point of view, from directly above the defensive line, or from virtually any angle on the pitch ⚽ Add tactical overlays that illustrate offside lines, player runs, and spacing as a play unfolds ⚽ Unlock entirely new angles by reconstructing key moments inside the EA SPORTS game engine, using full player movement, not just traditional video replay Under the hood, Project Assist runs on TRACAB’s tracking technology — trusted across elite competitions worldwide. With 12 synchronized 4K cameras capturing 200M+ data points per match and true volumetric skeletal tracking at 50 frames per second, it delivers broadcast-grade precision at scale. 💡The goal is simple: enhance the broadcast ecosystem and deepen fan engagement. Learn more about TRACAB and how we’re connecting fans with the future of sport ➡️ https://www.ea.com/tracab #EASPORTS #TRACAB #ItsInTheGame #Technology #Innovation

Sports have always been about more than what happens on the field. 🏈 At their best, they create moments that connect people across cities, cultures, and generations through shared fandom and community. At EA SPORTS, that belief shapes how we show up at the world’s biggest stages — turning sport’s biggest moments into experiences that connect players, employees, musicians, athletes, creators, and fans into a single, living community — one that shows up across culture, competition, and purpose. As we reflect on Super Bowl week, that vision came into focus through a series of connected experiences that showcased the full reach of our community and the power of football to inspire participation and connection, such as: 🎤 EA SPORTS Presents Madden Bowl in Partnership with Visa, the centerpiece of our Super Bowl presence, and the week’s premier night of football, music, culture, and community. 🎮 The Madden Championship Series (MCS) reached its thrilling conclusion at our Electronic Arts (EA) Redwood Shores studio, where 14 of the world’s best players battled for their share of a $1 million USD prize pool and a place in Madden esports history. 💡 As the global spotlight turned to Super Bowl week, EA SPORTS is proud to have joined in the National Football League (NFL) Inspire Change Super Bowl #STEAM Celebration to help spark curiosity and creativity among future creators, technologists, and innovators. 🏈 We also heard from Kurt Benkert, former NFL quarterback and founder of The Dime Lab, alongside EA leaders at our EA Global Town Hall, about the impact of Madden on football strategy and culture.
