    I had the pleasure to be invited to speak at the very first edition of the Modern Revenue Club, led by Ocobo, with Qobra and Aircall, last Thursday. 🚀 Driving growth in 2026 means navigating two revolutions at once. On one side, a contracting market pushing companies back to profitability. On the other, AI — the biggest technological shift of the past 20 years — making most existing playbooks obsolete. And we talked about why, in that context, RevOps is becoming an increasingly strategic function. 💪 On my side, I shared early reflections from my transition from RevOps to Revenue leadership, almost 2 months into my role as GM EMEA at Aircall. Three things were top of mind: 1/ Why put a RevOps profile in a Revenue leadership role without a traditional commercial background? Because at scale, growth is about architecture, operating systems, and trade-offs — not just volume. 2/ You truly understand the value of RevOps when you move to Revenue and some RevOps foundations are missing. As a GM, onboarding is tough. It’s way tougher when, in some areas of the business, knowledge is still tribal, processes not 100% clear, or prioritization fuzzy. 3/ The humbling shift. Some topics I once deprioritized now sit at the center of my daily challenges. Moving from designing the system to owning the number changes your perspective fast. More than ever, I believe the best RevOps leaders know how to combine strategic altitude with deep proximity to the field.     When I started as VP Sales at Aircall in 2018 I spent the majority of my time live coaching salespeople. As we scaled the team I trained and developed Managers (and then Directors), who all spent the majority of their time live coaching salespeople. This past weekend I downloaded Aircall again to see how it's evolved... What blew my mind is that the product now does the thing we once spent most of our time doing. Aircall is no longer a phone dialer that integrates to your CRM. It's an AI powered assistant that's capable of live coaching sellers to success. - live battlecards (what to say) - playbook methodologies (what to ask) - recommended next actions (what to do) Once trained, it serves reps what they need, without a sales manager standing next to them. Buyers get info and answers faster and sellers accelerate deals. This is a huge win, especially for remote sales teams. If you told me 8 years ago the Aircall product would be doing the most time consuming part of a sales manager's job, I wouldn't have comprehended what you meant. But today it's real.     One of my not-so-proudest moments in sales this year… 😅 A prospect I’d been excited about for MONTHS almost ended our second call within five minutes. Why? Because my recap of our last conversation was… wrong. Not wildly wrong. Just enough wrong to make them stop me and say “do you remember what we talked about last time?” Cue the awkward pause. 🫣 Here’s what scared me after that call: It could happen again tomorrow. Different prospect. Different details I’d forget. Same embarrassment. I don’t have a bad memory. I just have 12+ calls a day. And somewhere between call 4 and 8, the details blur. After the call, I sat down with my manager. Understandably, they weren’t thrilled. Instead of a lecture, they asked me: “How do we make sure this never happens again?” That’s when we started looking at how we could get more out of our tools. Not because I needed better memory… but because I needed a system that didn’t rely on memory at all. A tool where every call gets automatically summarised: 👉 Key pain points 👉 Stakeholders mentioned 👉 Decisions made 👉 Clear next steps So prospects never have to repeat themselves. Follow-up emails actually reflect what was said. And you don’t go into your 12th call of the day thinking “wait, which one is this?” Turns out Aircall isn’t just a calling platform and it’s been a genuine game-changer for me.     I was on a call last week and someone said: “We already use X to solve that” I’d never heard of X... But I didn’t try to bluff my way through it. Instead, I followed the same objection-handling structure I always use: Acknowledge → Challenge → Question But when you don’t fully understand the objection yet, you can’t really add common challenges around using X. So I stuck to 1 and 3. “That’s helpful context - being honest, I’m week 3 here. What does X actually do? How are you using it today?” As they talked, it became clear: What they had was a protection tool - not a backup or recovery solution. That let me reframe the conversation properly. That approach worked that time… But what about the next call? You won’t always get someone willing to explain. And you can’t prepare for every competitor or objection you’ve never heard of. That’s where Aircall comes in.
