About us

Agile Collective is a technology co-operative: a worker-owned digital agency that designs, builds and supports websites and web apps for organisations that value environmental sustainability, social responsibility, equality and human rights, and share our vision of a better world for everyone. We are a company with a conscience. Our core technology is Drupal, so whether we're delivering projects – often involving complex migrations and integrations – or providing long-term support, you'll be working with Drupal specialists. We are active members of the Drupal community: as event organisers and sponsors; as code contributors; and as lead technical partner on the LocalGov Drupal distribution. We also offer Design Sprints, Design Thinking, accessibility consultancy, brand development, and digital marketing services. Our clients include War on Want, Oxfam International, Be in the Know, ActionAid, Ethical Consumer, Freedom from Torture, Co-operatives UK, UNICEF/WHO, Fundraising Regulator, British Association of Social Workers, University of Southampton, British International Studies Association, Oxfordshire County Council, Cumbria Council and Lambeth Council.

  • 🚀 We recently built a new site for Oxfordshire County Council to help them communicate the complexities of Local Government Reorganisation to local residents and stakeholders. 💬 💡 We built the new site using LocalGov Drupal Microsites, a low-cost/open-source solution that councils (and others) can use to quickly spin up and easily manage new sites. 💛 Visit the site here > https://lnkd.in/eTYWpUXj ⚠️ LGR is a stressful, messy and complicated business for those carrying out the restructuring. We wish council officers the best of luck in navigating the process while still delivering the services residents rely on. 💪🏽 👀 About LocalGov Drupal Microsites LocalGov Drupal Microsites gives councils unprecedented control of their digital presence. From a single instance, they can create multiple unique websites that are easy to update and maintain. ⭐ We were the lead development partner on the project, working alongside local councils and Annertech to deliver a sector-leading solution to a longstanding issue for local government teams. Contact us if you'd like to know more about how your organisation could benefit from the platform.

  • 📢 We're proud to announce that we've been accredited as an Oxford Living Wage employer! ✔️ As a worker co-operative, we're delighted to demonstrate our commitment to fair pay and support employees in one of the UK’s most expensive cities. 🥑 The Oxford Living Wage ensures a minimum wage of £14.06 per hour for 2026-27, set at 95% of the London Living Wage as determined by the Living Wage Foundation. 📈 The rates are calculated each year by the Resolution Foundation using a robust methodology to ensure people earn enough to afford a minimum acceptable standard of living. This commitment means that everyone working at Agile Collective, including regularly contracted and part-time staff, will be paid at or above this rate. The Oxford Living Wage helps ensure more people earn a fair wage that reflects the true cost of living and working in Oxford. To find out more about the Oxford Living Wage and how other businesses can get involved, please visit Oxford City Council’s website. https://lnkd.in/e6tsJWtr #OxfordLivingWage

  • 👀 Check out this LocalGov Drupal Week video with co-op member and Lead Dev, Simon Chapman and Rachael Keating from Walsall Council. 💬 When webforms aren’t enough: Building Custom Forms and Workflows for Complex Council Processes. 👉🏽 Local authorities manage hundreds of multi-step processes daily - from licensing applications to service requests - each requiring data capture at multiple stages. While LocalGov Drupal provides powerful foundational tools, complex workflows often expose gaps between out-of-the-box functionality and real-world requirements. 💡 ⚡ Rachael Keating (Walsall Council) and Simon Chapman (Agile Collective) share an honest exploration of Walsall Council's journey building complex forms and workflows in Drupal. They cover the challenges they faced, the limitations they encountered in standard LGD components, and the solutions developed to bridge those gaps. 🗺️ Check it out on Youtube > https://lnkd.in/eCzAMbaH

  • 🗺️ The Griffith Institute at the University of Oxford holds one of the world’s most important #Egyptological archives: the excavation records created by Howard Carter and his team during the discovery of #Tutankhamun’s tomb in the 1920s. ⚱️ The Institute asked our team to help transform decades of archival material into something more useful: a structured, searchable archive that researchers could work with, and which would also make the collection more accessible to the public and media with a general interest in ancient Egypt. ⚡ We created a new searchable database/website that vastly improved the user experience. 🚀 Early site analysis suggests: ✔️ Faster navigation between related materials ✔️ Clearer object-centred structure ✔️ Improved cross-referencing ✔️ A visual design that makes the site pleasurable to use, as well as attracting a new audience. Great work from Stephen Cox, Richard Rowley and everyone involved in the project. 💛 Check out our latest case study to find out more > https://lnkd.in/eRz3g8iC
