Yesterday, team Abra stepped away from our screens and into the streets of Nijmegen — blindfolded, with a cane, navigating the city centre during the Expeditie Ribbelroute at muZIEum. What is it like when you can't rely on your eyes? When a crowded sidewalk becomes a puzzle? When a simple crossing demands all your attention? We build tools that test mobile apps for accessibility. But testing is one thing. Experiencing barriers firsthand is something else entirely. A powerful reminder of why we do what we do. 👉 Curious about the experience? https://lnkd.in/eF4UWdaA #accessibility #a11y #teamday #abra #muZIEum #mobileaccessibility #inclusivedesign

61% of the largest Dutch webshops are not digitally accessible. This is the conclusion of a recent investigation by the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (Autoriteit Consument & Markt, ACM). For people with a disability, this means they cannot complete a purchase on the majority of the biggest online stores in the Netherlands. For companies, this means lost customers and legal risk. The European Accessibility Act has been in effect since 28 June 2025. Companies that fail to meet the requirements risk enforcement action by the ACM. Want to know more about what the EAA means for your mobile app? We wrote a practical overview of what the EAA means for businesses and app developers — and what steps you can take to work towards compliance. 👉 Read the full ACM report: https://lnkd.in/eFZubrpt 👉 Read the full blog "EAA: what businesses and app developers need to know": https://lnkd.in/gNBrpTCF #DigitalAccessibility #EuropeanAccessibilityAct #EAA #Accessibility #Abra
