AI agents are moving quickly from experiments into real operational roles. They read internal documents. They summarize customer emails. They pull data from multiple systems. They take action across enterprise tools. Each step makes sense. That’s the point. But when a single system can access sensitive data, process untrusted content, and send information back out into the world, something subtle changes. The risk is no longer about a bug. It’s about architecture. Cyera Research Labs examined this convergence and calls it the Lethal Trifecta. When the attack surface becomes language itself, better prompts and more training are not enough. Hard boundaries have to exist in the system design. 👉 Read the full blog: https://lnkd.in/eZHmyXJr

Cyera is excited to join the Microsoft AI Tour in London on February 24. As organizations accelerate AI adoption, one thing remains constant. AI is only as secure as the data behind it. At Microsoft AI Tour London, Cyera is partnering with Microsoft to show how CISOs can confidently secure AI across Azure, Copilot, and the broader Microsoft ecosystem. 👉 Register for the event: https://lnkd.in/g9yFw7fr #MicrosoftAITour #Cyera

Cyera Research Labs’ Dor Attias just disclosed DESTRUCTURED (CVE-2025-64712): a CVSS 9.8 arbitrary file write vulnerability in Unstructured.io, the ETL engine behind a large portion of enterprise AI pipelines. In plain terms: ➡️ Write any file, anywhere on the host ➡️ Overwrite SSH keys, cron jobs, startup scripts ➡️ High likelihood of remote code execution ➡️ Supply chain blast radius across AI frameworks Unstructured.io isn’t just another library. It's the backbone of how enterprises convert PDFs, emails, documents, and other unstructured data into AI-ready intelligence. It sits inside vector pipelines, RAG systems, LLM workflows, and document ingestion stacks across cloud and on-prem environments. When the ingestion layer is vulnerable, the AI data plane is exposed. So what needs to happen? ✅ Identify usage: Unstructured is often embedded indirectly through frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex ✅ Patch immediately: Upgrade to version 0.18.18 or later ✅ Assess exposure: Treat affected instances as potentially compromised ✅ Review blast radius: Evaluate downstream dependencies and connected AI pipelines Bottom line: AI pipelines increasingly depend on shared open-source components. When those components fail, the blast radius is rarely isolated. If AI is part of your enterprise stack, the data transformation layer is part of your attack surface. Where does your most sensitive data actually live? For many teams, it is not where they expect. It is buried in support tickets, scattered across inboxes, and sitting in systems that were never meant to store it. See what changes when teams stop chasing visibility and start securing sensitive data with context across the systems that matter most. https://lnkd.in/ga77Cbj8
