🚨 BREAKING NEWS: The Government Information Sheet 🚨 The Government has now released the Renters’ Rights Information Sheet, giving landlords and letting agents clearer guidance on how upcoming reforms will affect Assured Shorthold Tenancies created before 1st May. Under the Renters’ Rights Act 2025, landlords with existing tenancies will need to provide tenants with a copy of this official information sheet. It explains how the new rules will change the way tenancies operate and what renters can expect once the reforms take effect. For most existing tenancies, landlords will not need to issue a new tenancy agreement. Instead, they simply need to provide the government-produced document to their tenants, either digitally or in hard copy. The deadline to provide the information sheet to tenants is 31st May 2026, so landlords and agents should begin preparing their communications now to ensure they remain compliant.
