Our team at Conewago had an amazing week at #CONEXPOCONAGG in Las Vegas connecting with professionals in the construction industry from all over the globe! Conexpo-Con/Agg is North America’s largest construction trade show representing asphalt, aggregates, concrete, earthmoving, lifting, mining and utilities. We learned about some of the newest techniques and technologies that are advancing our industry and how we can apply them as we turn our clients' visions into reality.

This week, we celebrate the women who build, lead, design, manage, innovate, and strengthen the construction industry every single day. From the jobsite to the office, their skill, dedication, and leadership continue to shape the communities we live and work in. Our team was honored to be invited by the Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce to make a presentation at their Small Business Roundtable event this week, laying out the basics business owners need to know about when planning to construct a new facility. Our VP of Sales Pete Shovlin offered insights and shared experience from Conewago's 70-year history of turning visions into reality for our clients. Congratulations to our 'Extra Mile' Award Winner for February - Luis Cardona. At one of the jobsites Luis was working at, the owner typically would handle snow removal. However, when the crew and subcontractors arrived onsite, the parking lot had not been plowed. Luis took it upon himself to go home, retrieve his personal truck equipped with a plow, and clear the parking lot to ensure that the crews and subs could proceed with their work. This effort exemplifies Luis’s dedication and willingness to go the extra mile, making him a deserving recipient of this award and recognition. Congratulations Luis!

Waiting on Sunshine! Conewago is leading the way on a large solar canopy parking lot project for repeat client G&S Foods. Our team is providing steel and overseeing electrical work for the canopy that - come spring - will help power G&S Foods manufacturing facility in Hanover. The parking lot has 372 spots and over 350 of them will be covered by the canopy, offering solar-powered electricity for the facility and a shaded parking lot for employees. Helping Hanover Start the Holiday Season! Our teams at Conewago are 'all business' when it comes to getting projects done for clients. But we have a little soft spot during the holiday season! Our teams helped Hanover kick of the holiday season by delivering a (large) live tree to the Hanover Square last week. Check out the Tree Lighting Ceremony this Saturday, November 29 at 6 p.m. to add to your festive Thanksgiving Weekend!
