ICYMI: Opening Notes at CS5 East 🚨 CEO of FutureFeed, Mark Berman reminded attendees that "protecting information is not paperwork, it's patriotism." He pointed to Operation Midnight Hammer as a powerful reminder of what happens when CUI isn’t properly secured. A single weakness in the Iranian supply chain’s cybersecurity opened a window for U.S. intelligence. CMMC’s CUI safeguards exist to ensure our own supply chains never become that vulnerable. The CEO of The Cyber AB, Matt Travis, introduced an overhaul of their marketplace. As the number of C3PAOs increase, so does our need for CCAs and CCPs. "The new C3PAO Advisory Council is building a BoK (body of knowledge) for users, instead of just the page on the Pentagon website." Chris DeRusha emphasized the point that "meeting CMMC requirements need to be achievable and affordable." Smaller sized companies are integral to the supply chain, and they cannot be left behind. Stay tuned for more updates throughout the day!
