Lauren is an author, writing coach, and community organizer. She’s passionate about balancing living in the present with working toward a better future. She supports writers through generative workshops, editorial services, publication submissions support, coaching calls, and community meetups.
As a former full-time organizer and long-time volunteer for nonprofits, Lauren is familiar with today’s challenges. She is committed to helping those doing essential advocacy and organizing for their communities through individual coaching and group workshops.
Lauren is a trained and certified Amherst Writers & Artists writing workshop facilitator.

Lauren is the coauthor of the book Inside Out: A Texas Prisons Poetry Story, and her debut full-length poetry collection, Scars & Other Luxuries, is forthcoming with Finishing Line Press in November.
Her individual poems, short stories, and short nonfiction pieces have been published widely, and she is revising her second novel.
