Fiction by The Ariston is released on 7 November 2025 through Right Track Records.

The Ariston, an indie/alternative band formed and fronted by Luca Slade (frontman) and Will Parsonson (bass) in 2021, later to be joined by Finn Bunce (drums), creates deeply emotional music rooted in vulnerability and personal growth. Their lyrics explore themes of heartbreak, grief, and identity, offering a cathartic experience for their fans, known as 'The Aristans'. 

The single was written by Luca Slade, Will Parsonson and Finn Bunce and recorded and produced by Jamie Brown at JBJ Studios and mastered by Grammy nominated Robin Schmidt.

Written and recorded in just one week, ‘Fiction’ was born mid-studio session when Luca began experimenting with an idea that immediately caught producer Jamie Brown’s attention. “What’s that? We need to record that now,” he said. 
 
Lyrically, ‘Fiction’ explores Luca’s experience in show business - the constant feeling of not fitting in and being easily replaced. It also carries a double meaning, touching on relationships and the struggle of never feeling enough. 

Drawing inspiration from bands like Nothing But Thieves and Catfish and the Bottlemen, this single marks the band’s boldest step yet in their ongoing pursuit to refine their sound. Its release coincides with their four-year anniversary and a headline London show.
