Bleiler's The Guide to Supernatural Fiction and Science Fiction: The Early Years describe this as an essay with short narratives of ideas that Capes had intended to use. Included is "An Astonishing Sentence", which is science fiction and two that are supernatural:
"The Plot of the Fearful Head" and "The Face on the Sheet".
