Note: London From 1871 Successor to publisher Richard Bentley, 1832 to 1871 George Bentley (1828–1895), the eldest surviving son, eventually led the renowned firm, especially after a Richard Bentley's fall from a railway platform in 1867. It was renamed Richard Bentley and Son after the father's death. In closing, Wikipedia credits Richard Bentley (1794–1871) with "founding a family publishing firm that lasted through two further generations."
