Teaser Scenes / Action Concepts for INDIAN TERRITORY
Writer-Director-Actor ERIC PARKINSON is embarking on an ambitious period-western which chronicles the weeks leading up to the infamous "Land Rush" of 1889. Over 90-million acres of land in the Indian Territory was stripped from the tribes and given to non-native voters in violation of the Treaty of New Echota. This action by Congress (tied into the Dawes Act of 1887) represented the final act of disrespect to the thousands of Natives who lost their lives in the forced march "Trail of Tears" to their "forever homeland." Prior to principal photography, Parkinson arranged for some concept and stunt scenes as part of the film's financing package.
