"The Fans Will Kill Me!" The Pressure to Get "Ahsoka" and Thrawn Right
At Star Wars Celebration 2023, the stars and creator of "Ahsoka" sound off about the scrutiny surrounding the show as the titular character makes a leap from animation on "The Clone Wars" and "Rebels" to her own live-action series. Rosario Dawson, who stars as Ahsoka Tano, quipped that "The fans will kill me" if she didn't get certain aspects of the character correct, so she, creator Dave Filoni, and costars Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Sabine Wren), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Hera Syndulla), and Lars Mikkelsen (Grand Admiral Thrawn), discuss that pressure and when they were able to let all that melt away, so they could embody the characters on screen.
