I cani dell'acqua marcia (2018)

In this "bricconaggio" (a therapeutic catharsis realized without a psychodrama group) Ottavio Rosati reveals the story of a double cross trauma, he lived 24 years earlier. The first because of Fabio his young partner (rich in talent but born in a disturbed and poor family). The second because of dr. Mars, a famous psychoanalyst (his former teacher) to whom Ottavio had sent Fabio in analysis, paying him the fee. Dr. Mars, married and with children, having never done a proud Coming Out of his gay identity, did an acting out in his study making sex with Fabio, the patient he was supposed to protect. The title "Water Marcia's dogs" requires an explanation: it refers to the two cockers who accompany the protagonist to the Acqua Marcia fountain in the historic center of Rome: water that comes from an aqueduct linked to the gens Marcia (linked to Mars, the god of war). At the same time the word "march" means "corrupt" and "dirty". And this refers to a performance that cleans the director of anger about a hidden wrong too long. Rosati does it with a filmed catharsis rather than with a theoretical-clinical essay reserved for few experts.This decision has aroused both consensus and criticism but it was very healthy for him.
