There are plenty of low budget "minority" films available. And this is a sequel to it's Freshman "Black Spring Break"...But, don't think it's all about African American women getting drunk and exposing themselves on the beaches during their vacations or going wild at parties. This project has something a lot of other "low budgets" don't...a decent plot and a message. It's about what you take from the film once you've seen it that makes it worth watching. Granted, it IS an independent low budget film, and at times it is blatantly obvious it is...However, "Black Spring Break 2", aside from being cute, funny, and light hearted teaches a lesson, if you just pay attention to "the message". There are plenty of chuckles from some young up and coming comics, some creative writing and once you get into the movie (if you allow yourself to be entertained...and forget about the "quality" of some of the shots, lighting and camera angles...you'll find that it's really pretty decent. It's too bad that there aren't more film makers out there that use this vehicle film)to teach something positive. The writers, producers, and director of this movie DID.
