Boring as this movie may be, it has two things I love. Boobs and David mother ducking Bowie. David Bowie is an alien, this is not for debate. So he plays the hell out of the character here. It's a little too artsy for the general public and oftentimes seems aimless in its structure, but I still like it all the same. I'm grading this movie on a curve because I'd like to see it make it's way into the 7's range. Rip Torn is almost unrecognizable young. The characters are likable and Bowie is charismatic as the lead. What more can I say but I like this movie an awful lot. I wish he were in more movies before he had passed on.
Where to start? This movie is just so lovely! I've always asked myself what constitutes a life worth living and in a way this movie answers that question. If you can spend all your time with someone who completes you, that's a life we'll spent. Man it's wonderful. It's also extremely funny, and the time loop stuff is well explained. Andy Samberg perfectly plays the apathetic drunk who cares more than he lets on (as redundant as that sentence is) and Cristin Millioto plays the intelligent yet flawed character just as well. Both characters are nearly flawless. This movie is now one of my favorites; Can't reccomend it enough.
I'm an agnostic so it was fun watching the devout Christian be put in her place. That and the episode was very funny. Pierce hanging outta with the seniors was a pretty funny subplot as well.
