I don't understand. That's literally the worst acting I've ever seen. Like a group of cosplayers came together with their cheap costumes and hairspray. I never understood the craze for One Piece, but how can anyone like this ugly show is a mystery for life. The lighting and the way it was shot hurts the eye. Apparently that's the 'style' and people love it. Adapting manga and anime into live action feels like a perversion anyway, but here the anime style means looking terrible and acting amateur. The only value I see is in the sets. Obviously I'm not the target audience,I watch anime since I was a child, couldn't understand what's so good in One Piece since then. This adaptation is even worse.
The most unique film I've seen recently. Important questions, painful truths with humor instead of fake pathos. The whole theatre concept is genius, and makes fun of the white guilt hypocrisy and the misery porn that audiences love to see to feel they are 'good people'. I wish there were more hungarian films like this, which are not just for hungarians, and much more opportunities for roma actresses and actors to tell such stories honestly.
It's not everybody's cup of tea, I went with two off my classmates from film school, and one of them didn't know what to do with it. I often found it hilarious, also coming from theatre background and knowing this scene so many things are spot on.

This film came as a total surprise to me... I tought it is just an other biopic, which are pretty boring to me. The horror feeling, the overall vibe reminded me more of the Shining or Lynch instead. And for me, it worked, because her life in this family, with their oppressive coldness and weird traditions is as close to real life horror as only elite can get. The cinamatography, the music, the acting, the costumes - everything works perfectly together for this feeling, this creepy atmosphere which makes your skin crawl. I don't understand the negative reviews, why are people so close minded, nobody likes movies which are out of the box anymore?
