Clear your mind of all interference caused by trailers, promotions and one-eye write ups.
Firstly - this is not "From Dusk to Dawn" or any other movie wannabe, it's quite original.
It's a horror, blending in blue grass, musical element, and human misery inflicted on Afro-Americans last century.
IMHO, first 42 min is quite slow and maybe even boring, making you wish for something to happen. When the story gathers speed, it leaves you, at times, confused and despite all the gore, not really scared.
After all, it's not something you'll remember for years, as you remember classic horror films, it's not in that league.
BTW, don't miss on crazy credits...

Great whodunnit series, kept me guessing till last episode. It is quite tense thriller, bordering on horror and the story is not for faint hearted. It exceeded my expectations, ended up binging the lot in one day.
IMHO the actors are really good, as is production. The plot - well it is not a documentary, so we need to allow for some unlikely twists, but all good in general.
I haven't watched much Dutch stuff before and I was quite fascinated seeing so many pushbikes being used by people from all walks of life.
Again, Harlan Coben - eat your heart out ;-) I'd like to recommend this show, providing one can find it...

It's OK to watch, however one needs to be under influence (of any kind) to get through this cinema jewel.
The plot is moronic and full of holes, acting kinda puzzling.
It is annoying when one waits for a movie promoted as good entertainment, and, when the wait is over... it's a stinker.
Some scenes are openly screaming "eat it, stupid, it's possible" - like the moment involving kid, radio controlled toy car and a gun. Was the gun in kid's toy box?
People get shot, they get up and do heroic things, get stabbed - no worries, thrown against walls... Last question after watching this: WHY? Why such elaborate plot involving home invasion, restaurant takeover, poison, guns, etc.? They could JUST KILL THE TARGET.
