It's weird that this seems to be a story in recent times, lets say between 2010 and 2014, which would be the period when the couple missed out on their love, because of her authoritarian, controlling and manipulative parents.
I would have assumed that that was a reality in the 1950s and 1960s, but surely American parents aren't this terrible in this century...?
We have seen this so many times in movies and media but this story is getting old and boring and definitely irrelevant today.
And I think that the lead actors, although both very beautiful/handsome, unfortunately act rather unemotionally and deadpan - I don't know why this is the case, but I blame the director more than the actors.

... in these reviews, which is weird.
Alice is 28 years old, and the sexual abuse, that still traumatize her, happened 15 years earlier, when she was 13 years.
Basically I only liked the first part of the movie, before the twists and the changing into thriller and later horror movie.
The later part of the movie was pointless, rediculously unlikely and offensive.
My advice: see the movie until the bus journey starts, then skip the rest.
The difference between US and UK movies. This is so much better than the pale US version...
In no way worse than any other action film I've seen. Actually, quite a lot better, mainly because the women in the film did not have passive, redundant roles. Good acting from Rapace and Nélisse.
Normally, the only action movies I can stand are action comedies - this action still get my recommendation, for the reasons mentioned above.
