I really enjoyed this film i have not seen the original but I'm sure it must have been OK. This was a musical but i didn't think it would be so well made. i quite enjoyed the outcome of the movie as well so it is a must see. as a dancer i know good dance steps when i see them. some of the dancers where very talented. the big names however were not as professional but they sure did make up for it with their acting. i do think they a marvelous job at doing the dancing as some of the steps and moves were quite difficult and they did pull them off rather well. the singing was well done a few lip syncing problems but the majority was wonderful. this was a very entertaining movie i just don't think it appeals too much to most males due to the fact that it is a musical. its very well written quite clever and witty with characters that you can see in yourself or your friends i give this movie an 8 out of 10.

Jim Carey as always does a magnificent performance and works really well with what he is given. i think there are some very clever scenes and some bits of the movie looked like it was almost written for Jim Carey. some parts of the movie i didn't enjoy it all depends on what you like i guess you know personal preferences. What i didn't like was that this movie was taken a context that wasn't really good i mean as my summary said, crime does pay? that was what i said when the movie finished. that is just what i thought of it i would really like to see what others think of it. the acting was pretty good but the story line was missing some parts. i also think that there were bits that i found totally unrealistic. i give this movie a 6 out of 10 and i think that Jim Carey could do so much better.

There was so much hype about it. The NEW chocolate factory movie. Again we get to see the Oompa Loompas Willy Wonka and little Charlie Bucket perform their magic. There was a big difference in the music department and the Oopma Loompas songs were made in a completely different manner. There was a huge change in the acting department. I did enjoy Gene Wilder acting in 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' and i think that Johnny Depp did a fantastic job acting in this one. The character of Willy Wonka was shown in a completely different way and i think changed the entire aspect of the film. The scenery was almost the same but the thing i like most about this version was that it stuck very well to the book and it had a very nice ending. it felt more 'finished' then in 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' I rated it a 7 out of 10 as there were bits that i enjoyed and others i would have licked differently. i think that this movie is a happy fun loving movie that all children should enjoy.
