Legendary hard-ass British actor Tom Hardy stars as Walker, a tough cop drowning in a crime-filled gritty (no named) American city as he shoots his way through the crime syndicates to rescue a wanted mayor's son.
Gareth Evans (The Raid) delivered a real old school flavoured acton cop thriller crafted in the mould of violent cop films of the past. I got vibes of many movies, comic-book films & cop thriller's. I felt the presence of films such as Dredd, Bright, Running Scared (the Paul Walker one), Safe, Punisher: War Zone, Predator 2, Robocop 2 & many more.
Havoc is real gritty, hyper-violent & explosively bloody & it shows in it's cinematography, mood & atmosphere. Havoc blew me away with it's action scenes & brutal bloodshed & although Hardy's hard cop Walker doesn't have much depth he's still a brutal screen presence for this type of genre film. Definitely way better than its been rated off many.
Hardy is solid in this Xmas set cop film, he plays a hardened Detective in deep with a bunch of crooked cops & a Conspiracy that hangs over his head. The city looks & feels like that of Batman's Gotham City which is fun considering Hardy played Batman's nemisis Bane in the Batman franchise.
Hardy's grizzled tough cop Walker is a no nonsense type, a street cop who dresses like an ordinary guy but makes his outfit look rugged cool. Walker is cruising the gritty city during the Christmas period trying to find the mayor's son before every crooked cop & gang member finds him first & kills him. There's a solid supporting cast & the film has blasts of explosive brutal & bloody violence. Havoc is a cool action-packed cop thriller with some of the best Action I've seen in a long time!!! The cabin set piece near the end is one of my favourite action scenes of all-time!!! I love action films & i love cop films & Tom Hardy is a favourite of mine & all comes together perfectly for this thrilling blood-soaked cop flick for Netflix.

The first Ant-Man was such a surprisingly excellent Marvel adventure movie.
The magic in Ant-Man is carried over into this super sized fun summer sequel for anyone to enjoy.
A B, or even C grade Super hero character Ant-Man getting his own mega budget Blockbuster movie was a major even within the MCU & it worked.
I loved Ant-Man, it's become one of my absolute favourite Marvel films by far!!! Ant-Man makes it inti my top 10 fave Marvel films list, it's that much of a great blast of entertainment.
Ant-Man & The Wasp is a major movie, an excellent sequel to the surprise hit Ant-Man.
This super sequel is based after the events of Captain America: Civil War & now Scott Lang (Ant-Man) is under house arrest & trying to be a good father & balancing his super hero duties.
Paul Rudd is just a nice guy & perfectly cast as nice guy & fun daddy Scott Lang. As a dad he's goofy & fun & as Ant-Man he's funny, cool & kick-ass. Paul Rudd is perfect in his role & is helped this time by his new Super hero partner The Wasp.
The Wasp is played brilliantly by his mentors (Dr. Hank Pym: the always great Michael Douglas) kick-ass daughter played by the excellent Evangeline Lilly, who is excellent as The Wasp & is kick-ass cool & very capable as a tough super hero. The Wasp is more skilled & a better fighter than Ant-Man.
Scott Lang was more of burglar, a theif with a big brain & high-tech knowledge.
Legendary actor Michael Douglas is great fun once again as their mentor & has some of the funniest lines in the movie, i love that guy!!!
There's tons of big budget FX action set pieces & San Francisco looks great once again where all the action takes place.
Ant-Man & The Wasp is a spectacular sequel, a sequel that is just as funny & fun as the first film but still isn't as good as that original origin story Classic.
Ant-Mans fun team of misfit friends are back & there's plenty of fun moments scattered throughout this big budget popcorn blockbuster.
Ant-Man & The Wasp is simply big fun, big fantasy adventure sci-fi fun for anyone to enjoy.

Ant-Man was such a huge pleasant surprise, a B or C Marvel character getting his own big budget movie by Marvel studios & it was excellent!!!
Out of all the Marvel movies Ant-Man was one i wasn't bothered about seeing until my big bro made me watch it & now i love it. There's such a spirit of fun, adventure & fantasy sci-fi that makes your inner child get excited.
Ant-Man is now one of my top 5 favourite Marvel movies, it's that damn good.
Paul Rudd is perfectly cast as a super quick & super slick burglar Scott Lang that becomes the title hero Ant-Man. Ant-Mans suit is awesome!!! We all love Paul Rudd, the guy is a good guy & a very likeable dude in pretty much anything!!!
Paul Rudd was always a nice guy on screen, often playing secondary best buddy characters to the main comedic star (usually Seth Rogan or Ben Stiller) & he was great in the new Ghostbusters films, but here he got his own super hero blockbuster franchise.
Ant-Man is good old fashioned feelgood family fun similar to the likes of: The Rocketeer & Inner Space & Honey I Shrunk The Kids, it has that type of colourful feelgood family fantasy fun. Ant-Man is big adventure, Big fun & has a big heart at it's core with the nice relationships of Daddy's & Daughters that play to both Paul Rudd & Michael Douglas with their excellent characters.
Ant-Man is big fun with a small scale Marvel character getting big budget treatment & it all works perfectly.
Ant-Man is a fun heist action-comedy with big heart & big fun special fx.
Also the production design in Ant-Man is outstanding, the house that Michael Douglas scientist character owns is beautifully designed & gorgeous to look at.
Paul Rudd is awesome as Ant-Man & the film is lifted up with some major Hollywood weight with the legendary Michael Douglas (Black Rain, Basic Instinct, Fatal Attraction, The Game) as former Ant-Man & old scientist Dr. Hank Pym, that needs Rudd to become the new Ant-Man. Douglas is awesome & obviously having so much fun, the film is full of fun & has gorgeous, colourful cinematography that pops off the screen. The San Francisco setting is gorgeous & the score is adventurous & lively.
Basically Ant-Man is one of the most fun Marvel adventures of the lot.
Everything just clicks in a fun way that works, Ant-Man is big budget summer blockbuster fantasy fun for the whole family to enjoy over & over again.
I totally enjoyed Ant-Man so much & can't wait to watch it again.
