Brilliant! A masterfully crafted thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Eddie Redmayne is perfect and delivers a flawless performance as the enigmatic and calculating assassin, completely capturing the character's cold precision and unsettling charm. It's gripping and what is fascinating-and more than a little disconcerting-is how it makes you root for the "bad guy," immersing you in his meticulous planning and forcing you to admire his genius. A brilliant adaptation that lingers in your mind long after the credits roll and I really hope there will be a season 2.
Honestly it's worth watching just for Jensen Ackles...sigh... but the show is great. I watched it after seeing 'The Boys' as this is by the same creators and there are similarities with some of the humour. Some episodes are ok and some are fabulous but it is a compulsive, entertaining show that has horror, comedy, thrills and heartaches. It's written well with surprises around the corner and you do feel for the characters. One of my favourites is the high school musical episode. Now, high school musical is NOT my cup of tea at all and I almost skipped this one but so glad I didn't. Lots of fun, really enjoyed it.
Never fancied this, not at all. But oh my god how good is this show?! It's tense, exciting but also has some really lovely and tender moments. By god though my nerves are totally shot at with the suspense. Excellent story that just keeps giving. Every season gets better and better. Great acting, great story. It's got cheeky kids, scary bits, monsters, 80s music and the supernatural- what more can you ask for.
