I started this movie, and felt it was somewhat like Devdas, but... all I can say is... WOW! The songs blew me away - such BEAUTIFUL lyrics, classic tunes, no harsh beats... and it wasn't like the other recent movies that are all about sex, lust, illicit relationships... this is up there w/ classics like Yeh Vaada Raha! LOVE it! The actors were VERY well chosen - their chemistry was incredible, and made the story come alive. The way the movie was shot was also incredible... the sequence of the scenes, showing what was important... I really can't praise this movie enough! I already got the songs from the soundtrack :) You NEED to watch this movie if you want to watch a real love story!

This is my all-time FAVOURITE movie. I don't even know how many times I've watched it... must be close to 40... This is one of those classics that stays in your heart forever. I just have to say though, until this last time when I watched it, this movie was a really serious one for me, in the sense that I could find very little wrong with it. But I really have to share some funny parts with you. First when Vicky's mother's sari gets stuck in the car door, and second during the accident, dummies were obviously used, but if you watch the driver's side VERY carefully, you'll see the head fall off when the car hits the truck. haha. but otherwise, an EXCELLENT movie - you gotta see it!
