  • When parallel or future worlds collide

What a good SiFi should be Indie or Big budget, this is somewhere in between budget wise seems to me. I've been a fan of Michael Shannon for a while his low key earnest style is compelling and he really sells his part. The ending, though not completely unexpected, was quite cool, loved this movie.

  • Not Fair!

I hope it's not true only 2 seasons of this incredibly addictive series. Always seems to happen when there's something good it goes away due to the bottom line. I've always been a fan of Simmons work, his lowkey anti-hero style is always superb this role here is typical of his abilities, in fact it's hard to see flaws in any of the actors, all believable in their roles.I just finished season 1 and can't wait to dive into season 2 even knowing I will Not see a fitting ending, no 3rd season what a pizzoff I could see this concept going on for years.

  • History loves the Whistleblowers

I like stories about whistleblowers. I think they are true Patriots of which ever country they represent, courageous and moral people. I was somewhat familiar with this story from what I had read as it was happening but the full story is very compelling. The parallels I drew from then to right now are hard to miss which just points out the fact "we never learn" I am an American Vietnam Vet (another war for a lie) and lost 2 good friends in President "Bubba's" War of revenge in Iraq.. We are lied to everyday by our leaders it's as common as breathing, our heroine here, Mrs. Gun, does the right thing by revealing her Govts misdeeds. I applaud the telling of her story a compelling tale of a true British Hero.

  • What ! Did he call Sparrows Magic Pu**ies!

I don't review many movies main reason being is that I'm a Streaming Demon and have seen so many that are just drivel and and unfulfilling crap they're not worth giving any stars. Red Sparrow is not one of those movies, excellent movie, when the Moles hood came off at the end I had to yell What a Freaking Movie, only reason I give 9 stars is there is no such thing as a 10.

  • H8RZ gotta H8...

I don't under stand the confusion on the title seemed straight forward to me... Haters gotta Hate it's what they do. Interesting, bullying is a problem ( see Trump) thought the movie was pretty good worth a watch and better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick

  • Well I guess seeing this when it came out would have been beter

7-11-19 as you can tell by the way I designated the date I'm American and came to this movie late. Always a fan of Quaid' and sometimes older movies get better with age...Not so this one. Dennis turns in as always a good solid performance but reading some reviews from the early 00s I expected a tour de force which it is not. Probably due to the fact now in 2019 we all have been thru so much we have become more or less immune to the atrocities of Man. Those who stated it was hard to watch forget the lesson of Vietnam. People of all ethnicity' including Americans during WAR become changed individuals ( after 48 years I still have nightmares of my time in Nam) and have their own dealing with their situations. The Foreign Legion is known for killing 1,000 of Muslims in Africa and not a Mercenary Force to aspire to as is any Mercenary affiliation, as a former Combat Vet of the US Army I do not condone any of their or any private "Security Forces" activities. Enough said about where I'm coming from

As far as this movie goes I found nothing unwatchable it was a rather bland view of this Ethnic Cleansing "War" it was much worse than this depicts. There is some redeeming qualities in Quaid' character when he finally decides he's had enough. He needs to get that kid and himself out of Serbia end of story. In all I In all I enjoyed the movie but found it a somewhat OK but like most Oliver Stone pics a contrivance to push his own personal views.

  • Better than a Poke in the eye

Well it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick but just barely. First I want to acknowledge the reviewer who complained about jacking a round in the chamber, I'm with ya bro ticks me off too. I'm not a LEO but I am ex military and a combat vet and if you're carrying a weapon one thing you don't want is to be jacking around jacking a round you better be locked cocked and ready to rock. The original Backdraft was a classic this one is not, it's not painful to watch but you won't leave praising it either.

  • I can't unsee that

3 stars and that's being generous. Why the He!! did Flanery think this role was worth the effort, probably why he didn't put any into it effort that is. Started out as an interesting concept but that lasted about 10-15 mins. Don't bother wish I hadn't wasted the time.

  • Ok for what it is

Turn off your brain take off your thinking cap and just enjoy it for what it is, just a NetFlix film and it is better than a lot of them.

  • I could have written it

I'm a sucker for this type of Action Flick but although not a total waste of time I knew exactly how it was going to turn out after about 20 mins, I could have written it.
