What an incredible documentary that just goes to show that our justice system can be easily manipulated by people in power for their own gain. It's a real shame that our judicial system doesn't have more oversight over individuals who unethically and immorally lie to win a case. I am so happy with how things turned out for Greg Kelley and I feel so angry and frustrated for how it completely changed the course of his life. I hope and pray that he leads the best life possible and it compensated for the many years of torture he endured. I also hope for peace for the children and their families because they deserve justice too.
I do not read reviews anymore because everyone is so bias and can't get past cultural or ethnic differences. It's amazing to see how much ratings have changed over the past 20 years and I bave a pretty good idea who is doing the reviews. This movie was actually pretty good with solid acting, great filmography, and a solid storyline. It's nice to see Lee Daniels and Monique working together again to create this amazing film based loosely on a true story. Glenn Close and Andra Day really killed it in their respective roles and I was intrigued from the start of the film till the very end. Sit back and enjoy this supernatural thriller.
This movie was well made and showed how we create our own demons from what society instills in us from birth. The actors played their roles very well and religion, shame, and bigotry were key factors in a lot of the decisions that were made in the movie. I can't recommend this movie enough to anyone who has ever been made feel ashamed for just being who they are. I found this movie by chance and I am so glad I rented it and watched it. The entire movie never lagged and it built suspense until the very end. It was both a horror and drama movie and will entice both lovers of those type of films.
