I have only seen some of the original series of Brideshead back in the 80's so I thought I'd watch the film. I wasn't disappointed. I thought it was brilliant. The cast were excellent. Matthew Goode as 'Charles' was wonderful. He is an extremely underrated actor. Everything I've seen him act in has been so good. He doesn't get the acclaim he deserves. Ben as 'Sebastian' was very well acted and Emma Thompson played her part with great conviction. The cast were all excellent.

I hadn't seen this film for ages and decided to watch it again. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The concept is simple and you can just sit, watch and smile. Great cast. Matthew Goode was charming and I still think he is such an underrated actor. He's been in so much but doesn't seem to receive the accolade he deserves or the parts. If you want to just lose yourself for about an hour and a half the watch this lovely romantic film.
