There's no acting in this film-just people reciting lines with little emotion.
The 'jokes' fall flat, failing to land with any impact. It feels like a script reading was filmed, and after each take, the cast and crew thought, "No need to do that again, we nailed it."
The delivery is stiff and unconvincing, and the overall tone feels disconnected, leaving the audience with no reason to care about the characters or their dialogue.
It's as if the film was made in a rush with no attention to performance or timing.
I'm not sure why Mel Gibson keeps getting work. He has ruined his legacy with all the awful films.

"Scary People" feels repetitive and frustrating.
The show constantly replays the same clips and relies heavily on recaps, making it hard to stay engaged. If you're someone who needs everything repeated for clarity, you might enjoy it, but for the average viewer, it quickly becomes overwhelming. I was initially interested, but the constant repetition drove me to stop watching. I would have rated it an 8, but because of the repetitive nature, I can only give it a 3. It really detracted from the experience.
Each episode is 40 minutes and each killer covered is done in two parts. They could cut this down to one 20 minute episode if they cut the replays.

This is a pretty decent show about serial killers.
A lot of other reviews complain about the quote "the golden age of serial killers" but I think this is an appropriate quote. There was some many serial killers active in America during this time period.
The rest of this review is just filler because of the minimum characters allowed for reviews on the Internet Movie Database.
The show going into the killings of BTK, Ted Bundy and many other notorious serial killers, there isn't a lot of new information covered by in the show but if you're interested in serial killers then I think you'll find it interesting.
