As a young man, I read Foundation. The trilogy was and remains a unique thing. And then came the Apple TV adaptation. To be politically correct, the genders of the characters have been changed, so character of Gaal who is in the book male person, in this adaptation is female, who remains pregnant and is in a relationship with the guy who stole books from the Harry Seldon library. Salvor Hardin, the mayor of Terminus is the female in the series and the male in the book, and so on. The dialogues are trivial, in the style of soap operas, sometimes ladders are used to climb the wall, hundreds of thousands of years in the future and they talk about God and faith, in the work of Isaac Asimov who was a sworn atheist, and there was no traces in the trilogy of god(s). I'm a fan of science fiction, I'm not a fan of space operas, and we just got that with the Apple adaptation. This is very bad, I'm sure it will appeal to fans of laser swords and fans of similar children's literature. SF this is not. And neither is the Foundation.
Watching today's Serbian actors means watching provincials who don't even know how to speak properly. Aleksandar Bercek is on autopilot, unpleasant and difficult to accept as always. Far better than this one is the 1972 movie of the same name.
