I've had the extreme pleasure of knowing of the 'talent' that is Wayne Anderson for some time. Now, I can't say that I've had honour of meeting the man personally, but he is quite the Celebrity in S.A.
Now, I know that a lot of people are going to put this documentary into the 'mockumentary' pile, but before you do, I think their are some facts you should know.
1)Despite what was shown on the documentary, Wayne has a great vocal range and when he is most comfortable, he sings excellently.
2) He would be considered by many to be 'eccentric', this in itself, is all part of his charm.
3) He is an expert in Music History, most notably pop from the 50's onwards.
4) What you saw of him on T.V in relation to his persona, is 100% accurate, what you see is what you get. No scripts, just 100% Wayne.
He might not crack the top 40 anytime soon, but the man has an immense amount of talent, it's just not what your used to.
Hopefully, they continue following Wanye, not necessarily for the music, but for a glimpse into the extraordinary life into a man with a passion, who's not ashamed to say anything he feels, or to wear speedos. That, in my humble opinion, is brave.
Go Wayne, you've got my vote.

Of course I was aware of who Ted Bundy was...another freak who could not keep a normal relationship, instead opting to go out and kill girls and then rape them or vice versa.
But I was not prepared for the scenes of the crimes and how he got off on them.
I was shocked to see how long he had got away with his crimes for and for the fact that he did not look like a boogie monster.
The film itself was intriguingly and educational, if anything, it reminds you why your parents told you not to trust strangers, and why I'll do the same with mine.

I have this pilot episode on DVD. It's a great introduction to Magnum, Higgins, T.C, Rick and even Zues and Apollo.
Unfortunately, this movie length pilot does not have the unforgettable opening theme song.
Loud shirts, short shorts, trademark mustache and the red T top Ferrai, make this a classic! Magnum P.I is a show that you can watch comfortably knowing you will get a show you could watch with your kids, mother or priest and all will enjoy it.
They need to bring Magnum back.....and no one can ever be Magnum but Tom Selleck. That man is so likable! They don't make em like this anymore.
