As mentioned the first 2 episodes were a little confusing and soI watched them again.
The plot was really interesting and gave a good insight into the music industry. Loved the male lead - what an expressive actor. Also loved the characters in the band as well as the other supporting characters.
I wasn't too keen on the fact that the female lead was not very experienced as an actress and felt the writing of her character was a bit off - especially as the love interest for the main lead. It was like matching a highly skilled lead actor with a female lead who seemed like it was her first role. Perhaps this is the fault of the writers and what she had to work with.
With the female lead aside, I really enjoyed the rest of the characters and the journey of growth which they took.

I loved that each episode touched on a different human issue, while still building on the relationships of the regular characters and layer by layer revealing the hidden past. The series was fresh and very different and touched on so many human and life issues while delivering powerful messages. It highlighted how judgements, discrimination, and hate cause such human pain, and why love, respect and looking out for one another is so important in this world that we live in.
The actors were absolutely amazing and each episode was so moving, with powerful messages and wisdom. I admit to needing tissues for at least 4 episodes, but in a good way- especially during the story of the war veteran and the dog.
Having read some of the other reviews, I can see that there are those that were offended by the supposed list of names/similarities to BTS members. While all series/films etc do need to be careful not to cause offence, slating the series and giving low reviews rather than complaining directly to the production company is in itself malicious.
One of the best series I have watched and the themes and characters will stay with me for a long time. A must watch.

I really wanted to say it is amazing but I can't.
It starts off really well and interesting and yes the leads and some of the supporting cast did a great job in terms of the acting but for me I have to connect and have empathy with the characters and as far as the female leads character is concerned I could not. Yes she had a hard and toxic childhood, but that does not give permission to be cruel and spiteful as and when it suits her. I could have been won round had the scriptwriters not included a scene where she tears the butterfly's in half, but after seeing that scene, I just could not see her in any other light but cruel. As others have said there are many who have had a tough childhood and a turbulent relationship with her parents, but they grow up to be compassionate people regardless of their issues. If you dig deep enough you can always find reasons for even the most ruthless person, but that does not make it OK. As for being a famous children's book author - what parent would allow their children to read such dark stories
There are some light and humorous moments, the autistic brother and the Director of the psychiatric ward are fantastic, but at times I found it very slow. I am at episode 8 and struggling to keep going. The premise of the story is good and it has some interesting themes, but I think the scriptwriters didn't take into account that once you present a character in a cruel light they risk losing support for that character.
