Pros:
1. The soundtrack is killer, it's packed full of great songs that accompany entertaining moments, from Joe Reaves (Anthony LaPaglia) drumming along to AC/DC to the entire cast dancing on the rooftop at the end.
2. The film is pure 90's nostalgia fuel, particularly with it's aesthetically-pleasing fashion, great music and opposition to corporate influence.
3. The cast has great chemistry and it genuinely feels like we're following a group of good friends.
4. The movie is genuinely feel-good and a good comfort-watch. Particularly for those who love/ miss the 1990s.
Cons: 1. The music, though great, is incessant and is often used in lieu of any substance.
2. The plot stagnates for almost the entirety of the film as, apart from trivial drama, nothing happens until the last 20 minutes.
3. The characters are largely two-dimensional, especially the female characters who seem to be defined by their trauma and baggage instead of having actual personalities.
4. The comedy mostly feels over-the-top and forced.

Pros:
1. Jason Statham (Rick Ford), Melissa McCarthy (Susan Cooper) and Peter Serafinowicz (Aldo) carried the comedy amazingly.
2. The chemistry that every actor seems to have with each other is incredible. They all bounce off of each other seamlessly.
3. That one Rick Ford monologue alone is enough for me to bump this movie up a rating.
Cons: 1. The fight scenes are exceptionally dull and lethargic.
2. Susan Cooper is given a plethora of gadgets as a spy but she almost never uses them. It's slightly boring watching a spy movie with little to no gadgets.
3. The pacing is a little off with the middle of the film dragging and the conclusion rushed.
4. Somehow all of the characters, aside from the antagonists, always seem to dodge the bullets even when running out in the open.

Pros:
1. The scope of film is impressive - truly feels global with different locations.
2. The fast cuts really add to the chaotic and hopeless feel of the movie.
3. The action scenes are gritty, kinetic and tense.
4. The zombies look incredibly horrifying and they genuinely feel like an unstoppable force. Often they come across as goofy and easily avoidable in other media.
5. The cinematography is great in its simplicity as the camera knows when to back off to show scale of pandemic and when to close in to heighten the fear and tension.
Cons: 1. Some of the special effects, like the blood and jumping zombies, haven't aged well.
2. The characters sometimes make conveniently stupid decisions for plotlines to progress e.g. Special forces not bringing night-vision goggles or Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) not taking the crowbar into the lab with him.
3. Gerry Lane's family are ultimately irrelevant as they add nothing to the story but they receive a lot of screen time.
