  • Authentic, gritty and gripping

Realistic survival battle of man versus extreme elements (filmed in Iceland) with unpredictable twists. Only 99p to rent iTunes. I'm writing this whilst watching it - waiting for the inevitable contest between Mads Mikkelsen and a polar bear, fearing that scene may be sanitised because we are all polar bear huggers now...

  • Realist portrayal of realist

This film works - the performance of Chris Langham is perfect - he is an actor to be admired, and not ignored because of his private life. This is one of the best documentaries I have ever seen, combining the usability of Orwell's prose as spoken word and very thoughtful editing of visual material. A classic on YouTube.
